Udzungwa Mountains National Park lies in the Morogoro and Iringa regions, about 350 km southwest of Dar es Salaam. Udzungwa  National Park  is near the town of Mikumi located in south-central Tanzania, within the Eastern Arc Mountains.

Established in 1992, Udzungwa Mountains National Park has ranked to be one of the top most visited Tanzania national parks. Udzungwa  National Park was created with an aim of protecting the Udzungwa Mountains . Additionally, it is also part of the Eastern Arc Mountain range, often called the “Galápagos of Africa”.
